Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 15, 1995, Daryon Martice Simmons is an American hip-hop dancer, rapper, and choreographer better known by his stage moniker, iAmDLOW. DLOW, which stands for “Determined, Loyal, Optimistic, and Willing to Learn,” is an abbreviation. He gained popularity through the dance style known as bopping. Since 2013, when they created their first video together, he has frequently worked with fellow hip-hop dancer and rapper Lil Kemo (also known as “King Kemo”). In 2015, his song “Bet You Can’t Do It Like Me” peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
In December 2013, he made the music video for his track, “The Dlow Shuffle,” which is also a bopping dance. In January 2014, Steve Harvey’s talk program and the hosts of Fox 32’s “Good Day Chicago” gave him and Lil Kemo the opportunity to sing it.
