David Anthony Love Jr., best known by his stage name Kid Capri, is a DJ and rapper from the United States who was born on February 7, 1967.

The DJ Culture was created, innovated, and pioneered by Kid Capri, a Grammy Award-winning DJ, and Producer. The DJs that came after he adopted his “grassroots hustler mindset” as a model for success. Kid Capri, known as “The Guru of Mixtapes,” actually redefined what a “DJ” was as he carved a new path with his wide range of mixtapes and crowd-pleasing performances. “A great master is someone who inspires others to follow in their footsteps.”

Kid served as the head judge on Smirnoff’s Master of the Mix, a BET reality show that sought out the finest DJ in the country. Kid received a commission in March 2012 to remix “Masterpiece,” a unique song on the Smirnoff Nightlife Edition of Madonna’s album MDNA. The record was released on March 26, 2012, and he accompanied her to the Miami Winter Music Conference album release party. Kid also has vocal portions in the beginning and outro of Kendrick Lamar’s song “ELEMENT.” Kid was also featured in that song.
