Denzel Rae Don Curry is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who was born on February 16, 1995. Curry, who was born and raised in Carol City, Florida, began rapping while he was in the sixth grade, and in 2011, he started working on his debut mixtape. The mixtape, which was influenced by Florida underground artist SpaceGhostPurrp, was later highlighted on Purrp’s social media, garnering Curry notice in the local music industry and leading to his joining Purrp’s hip-hop group Raider Klan.
Curry, who is still in high school, released his debut studio album, Nostalgic 64, in September of that same year before leaving Raider Klan. Since then, he has released four studio albums: Imperial in 2016, Ta13oo in 2018, Zuu in 2019, and Melt My Eyez See Your Future in 2022, along with three extended plays: 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms in 2015, 13 in 2017, and Unlocked (a collaboration with Kenny Beats) in 2020. Melt My Eyez returned at number 17 following the publication of an expanded edition, while Ta13oo debuted at positions 28, 32, and 51 on the Billboard 200 chart, respectively. His works have all received a lot of positive reviews.
