The lead singer of Cannibal Corpse, Paths of Possession, and the supergroup Serpentine Dominion is George Fisher (born July 8, 1970), well known by his stage moniker Corpsegrinder. Prior to departing Florida’s Monstrosity and joining Cannibal Corpse in late 1995 to take Chris Barnes’ place—the current vocalist for Six Feet Under—he released two albums with the band. On February 25, 2022, Fisher released Corpsegrinder, his debut album as a solo artist.
Fisher uses an extended vocal approach known as a “death grumble” in death metal. Fisher’s large neck has also helped him become very well-liked. He has repeatedly stated that a combination of head bashing and weightlifting when he was younger is what caused the size of his neck.
