Colbie Marie Caillat is an American singer-songwriter who was born on May 28, 1985. She became well-known because of the social networking site Myspace. She ranked first among unsigned artists in her genre at the time. She released her debut album, Coco, in July 2007 after joining Universal Republic Records. The album, which featured the top-charting songs “Bubbly” and “Realize,” has sold 2,060,000 copies in the US and has been awarded the 2 Platinum certification. She collaborated with Jason Mraz on the duet “Lucky” in 2008, which was honored with a Grammy. Her second album, Breakout, which she released in August 2009, became the first of hers to enter the Billboard 200 at number one. The RIAA has granted it gold certification.
The 2010 Grammy Awards included a Best Pop Vocal Album nomination for Breakthrough. Because of her featured vocals and songwriting on Taylor Swift’s Fearless album, she was also a member of the group that took home the Album of the Year Award at the 2010 Grammy Awards. She released All of You, her third studio album, in July 2011. Christmas in the Sand, her debut holiday album, was released in October 2012. She was a part of the country music group Gone West from 2018 to 2020. Around 10 million singles and more than 6 million albums have been sold globally by Caillat. She was ranked as the 94th best-selling musician of the 2000s by Billboard magazine in 2009.
