Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 18, 1975, Clinton Charls Sparks is an American DJ, record producer, composer, and performer. He first made a name for himself as a rapper, dancer, producer, and DJ. He later turned that fame into a radio show hosting gigs on Boston’s Hot 97.7, Baltimore’s 92Q, Hartford’s Hot 93.7, and Sirius XM’s Shade 45. (among others). He served as the longtime host of SmashTime Radio, a globally syndicated radio program (also referred to as Get Familiar with Clinton Sparks). He served as vice president for Dash Radio from 2016 to 2019, a digital radio platform, and is now the host and owner of the regional hip-hop radio station Get Familiar Radio.
Moreover, Sparks served as the music correspondent for the E! network and co-founded the mixtape database MixUnit.com. E!, The Daily 10, and News, as well as senior roles in a number of businesses, such as Karmaloop, FaZe Clan, Islide, PingTank, IC Realtech, and Dash Radio. Sparks co-founded and took on the role of chief business development officer at the recently established XSET, an esports and lifestyle gaming company, in July 2020. His first book, How to Win Big in the Music Business, was published in 2020. He also hosts the Twitch program Win Big with Clinton Sparks.
