Clyde Sergio Narain (born June 25, 1978), better known as Chuckie, is a Surinamese DJ and producer. He currently resides in Aruba.
Chuckie was born in Suriname’s capital Paramaribo. He is a producer of the “dirty trance” scene, a cultural movement focusing on energetic urban club events with dancing, bright lights, and participatory stage components. He has also contributed to the evolution of a musical genre known as “dirty trance,” which features high-pitched lead synths over Latin-inspired rhythms and samples.
Songs such as “Let the Bass Kick,” “Aftershock,” and “Make Some Noise” (featuring Junxterjack) have helped him achieve popularity. Chuckie has also remixed songs for Michael Jackson and David Guetta, as well as produced for 50 Cent, Kesha, and Akon. His music has also been included on BBC Radio 1’s renowned EDM broadcast “What’s Hot in EDM?”
