Christopher Alan Young is an American country music singer and songwriter who was born on June 12, 1985. He won the fourth season of the singing competition show Nashville Star, which aired on USA, in 2006.
He was signed to RCA Records Nashville after winning, and the following year he released his self-titled debut album. With “Drinkin’ Me Lonely” and “You’re Gonna Love Me,” it generated two Hot Country Songs singles. The Man I Want to Be, his second album, was released on September 1st, 2009. It featured the number-one hits “Voices,” “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” and the title track. Young’s third album, Neon, gave birth to “Tomorrow,” “You,” and the top-five smash “I Can Take It From There” in 2011 and 2012. Three additional songs, including the top 5 successes “Aw Naw,” “Who I Am with You,” and “Lonely Eyes,” were released from the follow-up album, 2013’s A.M. I’m Comin’ Over, his fifth album was released on November 13, 2015. Young joined the Grand Ole Opry in 2017, which is one of the pinnacle achievements in country music.
