Chelsea Chanel Dudley, best known by her stage name Chanel West Coast, is an American singer, rapper, and television personality. She was born on September 1, 1988. She rose to fame thanks to her parts in the MTV shows Ridiculousness and Rob Dyrdek’s Dream Factory.
In 2009, Chanel started making music and teamed up with several other musicians. She collaborated with Tiffanie Anderson on the song “Melting Like Ice Cream” that same year. Later, she collaborated with Midi Mafia on the song “PHAMOUS” from Planet Hollywood. Chanel acknowledged in 2011 that she had signed with Polow Da Don on his record label Zone 4, but she departed the company later that year without releasing any music. After recording a music video for the song “I Love Money,” Chanel started making her own songs available online for free download during this time.
In 2012, Lil Wayne acquired Chanel for his record company, Young Money Entertainment. Later, in 2013, she released her mixtape Now You Know, which included Honey Cocaine, Snoop Dogg, French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign, and Robin Thicke. Asserting that the mixtape succeeds in “[selling] Chanel as an independent woman, her hip-hop-inspired attitude makes “Now You Know” fiercely distinctive,” Riley Sky of Dropkick Divas Media graded it a B. The Punch Drunk Love Tour and the Now You Know Tour were two headline tours that Chanel used to promote her mixtape. A music video for “Been On” with French Montana was also released by the artist. In August 2015, she dropped her second mixtape, WAVES, which featured YG and B-Real.
