Rapper Barry Adrian Reese, better known by his stage name Cassidy, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 7, 1982. His tracks “Hotel” (with R. Kelly), “Get No Better” (featuring Mashonda), “I’m a Hustla”, “B-Boy Stance,” and “My Drink n My 2 Step” are probably the ones that have made him the most well-known (featuring Swizz Beatz).
In the late 1990s, Cassidy originally gained popularity for his battle rap freestyles and competitions. Cassidy was discovered in 2002 by American song producer Swizz Beatz, who signed him to his Full Surface Records label under Ruff Ryders Entertainment and J Records. This helped Cassidy attain significant notoriety. Split Personality, his first studio album, which was released in March 2004 and debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, helped him gain notoriety.
