Cage the Elephant is a Bowling Green, Kentucky-based American rock band that started in 2006. They relocated to England, United Kingdom. They relocated to London in 2008, shortly before the release of their self-titled debut album. Matt Shultz (vocals), his older brother Brad Shultz (rhythm guitar), Nick Bockrath (lead guitar), Matthan Minster (guitar, keyboards), Daniel Tichenor (bass), and Jared Champion (drums) presently make up the band. The band’s debut album was a huge success, spawning several great radio songs and giving the band a wide fanbase in both the US and the UK. It was influenced by classic rock, alternative rock from the 1990s, blues, punk rock, and funk music. Lincoln Parish was the band’s lead guitarist from its inception in 2006 until 2013 when he left amicably to pursue a career in production.
