Beatrice Kristi Ilejay Laus, also known as beabadoobee (/bibdubi/; bee-b-DOO-bee), is a Filipino-British singer-songwriter who was born on June 3, 2000. With the independent label Dirty Hit, she published five extended plays between 2018 and 2021: Lice (2018), Patched Up (2018), Loveworm (2019), Space Cadet (2019), and Our Extended Play (2021). In October 2020, she released Fake It Flowers, her debut studio album, to positive reviews. Beatopia, her second studio album, was made available on July 15, 2022.
The 1975’s labelmates Beabadoobee supported them on various legs of their Music for Cars Tour, while American vocalist Clairo supported them on her Immunity Tour. She received the Radar Award at the 2020 NME Awards and was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the 2020 Brit Awards. A yearly survey conducted by the BBC of music experts called Sound of 2020 predicted Beabadoobee would be a breakthrough performer in 2020.
