Rapper Ronald Ray Bryant, better known by his stage name Baby Bash (formerly Baby Beesh), was born in the United States on October 18, 1975. His first album Savage Dreams (2001), was followed by On Tha Cool (2002) and his first major label release: Da Smokin’ Nephew. He was a member of Dope House Records from 1995 until 1998, at which point he altered the last half of his stage name to “Bash” (2003). The track “Suga Suga,” which was on the album and featured Frankie J, reached number seven on the Billboard Hot 100.
He contributed to the songs of other artists, such as the 3rd Wish’s “Obsession (No Es Love),” which was first published in Europe and later made available in the United States with a Frankie J performance of the European version in 2005, and Paula DeAnda’s “Doing Too Much” in 2006.
Throughout his career, he has worked with a wide range of musicians, including R&B singers like Akon, Avant, Natalie, Bohemia, Mario, and Nate Dogg, West Coast rappers like B-Legit, C-Bo, Coolio, E-40[6], and Mac Dre, as well as Latino rappers like Fat Joe, Nino B, Doll-E Girl, South Park Mexican, Frost, and Pitbull. He continues to pen lyrics for artists including Frankie J, Paula DeAnda, and Jennifer Hudson.
