Ashley Lauren Monroe (born September 10, 1986) is a country music singer-songwriter from the United States.
Monroe’s solo singles “Satisfied” and “I Don’t Want To” (with Brooks & Dunn singer Ronnie Dunn) both charted in the United States. Billboard Hot Country Songs ranked them 43rd and 37th, respectively. Both tracks were taken from her debut album, Satisfied, which was supposed to be released in 2007 but was delayed. Monroe left Columbia Records in late 2007, and Satisfied was released by Sony Music on May 19, 2009. Monroe, Miranda Lambert, and Angaleena Presley founded the Pistol Annies in June 2011.
Monroe released her second studio album, Like a Rose, on March 5, 2013, followed by her third album, The Blade, on July 24, 2015. Sparrow, her fourth studio album, was released on April 20, 2018.
