Andrei Rață, also known as Andrew Rayel, is a Moldovan producer and DJ who was born on July 21, 1992, in Chişinău. Rayel began releasing music on Armada Music until founding his own label, “inHarmony Music,” on September 22, 2017, where he currently acts as label president and A&R.
Rayel’s electronic music career began in 2009, at the age of 17, however, he began producing songs and developing his style four years earlier. He is signed to Armada Music, which was co-founded by Armin van Buuren. His success came after his tune “Aether” was named “Tune of the Week” on Van Buuren’s radio show, A State of Trance. He appeared at several “A State of Trance” events.
Rayel’s first song of 2018, “Horizon,” was released on February 9th under the label “inHarmony Music,” and featured American vocalist Lola Blanc. On March 9, 2018, he released “Trance ReBorn,” a collaboration with Dutch DJ David Gravell that served as the main song for Rayel’s Find Your Harmony radio show’s 100th episode. On April 20, 2018, he partnered with Graham Bell to create “Tambores,” a trance-influenced large-room house single that debuted during his 2018 Ultra Music Festival set. On May 11, 2018, he released “Dark Resistance,” “In The Dark” with Haliene on June 1, 2018, and “New Dawn” with Corti Organ and Max Cameron on July 6, 2018. Rayel’s big room sound changed with the release of “Last Summer” with Fernando Garibay, starring Jake Torrey, on 3 August 2018, which was a pop tune with acoustic elements. Rayel told Billboard that the song had a “totally unexpected vibe” and that he had fun “experimenting and trying something he had never done before.”
