Amon Adonai Santos de Arajo Tobin (born February 7, 1972) is a Brazilian electronic musician, composer, and producer better known as Amon Tobin. He is known for his unconventional approach to sound design and music production. He has eight major studio albums under his Ninja Tune record label, which is situated in London. He has also released two albums Two Fingers, working with partner Doubleclick. On September 23, 2022, he released A Living Room (Music from Meow Wolf’s Omega Store).
His music has appeared in a number of significant films, including The Italian Job and 21. Tobin has written music for various indie films, including the 2006 Hungarian film Taxidermia, and his music has been featured in others, including the 2002 Cannes Palme d’Or-nominated Divine Intervention. A few of his songs were used in Toonami commercials and the 2005 anime IGPX and he composed the music for the critically acclaimed video games Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory by Ubisoft in 2005 and Sucker Punch’s Infamous by Sucker Punch in 2009.
