Alvvays, a Canadian indie pop band with roots in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and a present-day base in Toronto, Ontario, was founded in 2011. Alec O’Hanley plays guitars, together with Molly Rankin on vocals and guitar, Kerri MacLellan on keyboards, Abbey Blackwell on bass, and Sheridan Riley on drums (drums). Their second studio album, Antisocialites, was released on September 8, 2017, and it received the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2018. Their self-titled debut album, which was released in 2014, peaked at the US college charts. Both albums made the Polaris Music Prize shortlist. On October 7, 2022, their third album, Blue Rev, was made available.
