Adriana Lima is a Brazilian model who was born on June 12, 1981. From 1999 until 2018, she was a Victoria’s Secret Angel. In 2017, she was dubbed “the most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel” and the longest-running model. She is also well-known as a Maybelline cosmetics spokesmodel since 2003, as well as for her Super Bowl and Kia Motors ads. Lima won Ford’s “Supermodel of Brazil” competition at the age of 15, and then finished second in the Ford “Supermodel of the World” competition the following year before signing with Elite Model Management in New York City.
Lima is now recognized as one of the “New Supers” by models.com. Lima has been the world’s second highest-paid model since 2014. In 2012, she ranked fourth on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid models, earning an estimated $7.3 million in a single year. She finished third in 2013, and second in 2014, with earnings of $8 million. She finished second in 2015, earning $9 million. She maintained her second-place ranking in 2016, collecting $10.5 million.
Lima has been a brand ambassador for Desigual, a clothing brand located in Barcelona, Spain, for the Calzedonia Beachwear range, and for the Sportmax ready-to-wear collection. She is presently an IWC, Puma, Maybelline, and Chopard spokesperson.
