Rakim Athelaston Mayers, better known by his stage name A$AP Rocky (pronounced /esaep/ AY-sap; stylized as A$AP Rocky), was born on October 3, 1988. He is an American rapper, record producer, and record executive. He began his musical career as a member of the hip-hop group A$AP Mob, from which he took his stage name. He was born and raised in Harlem. Rocky’s song “Peso,” which was leaked online in August 2011, soon started getting radio play. Live, Rocky’s first mixtape, was released. Love.
