Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Young Jonn is now associated with Chocolate City Music. His top singles, Dada, and the remix with Davido are also well known. He was largely associated with the YBNL mafia family and had music production credits on industry hits during the 2010s before making the full transition to songwriting. He later rose to the third spot on The NET’s list of “Nigeria’s Top 7 Biggest Music Producers” and received nominations for “Producer of The Year” at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and The Headies 2015.
The song “Dada” from Young Jonn’s debut extended play, Love Is Not Enough (Vol. 1), which was released on April 1, 2022, served as the announcement of his contract with Chocolate City on March 18, 2022. Love is Not Enough, by Young Jonn, was released on October 21st, 2022. (Vol. 2). This project included the previously released songs Sokoto, Dada Remix, Usually, Next to You, Xtra Cool, and Dada Remix.
Young Jonn is on his path to being one of the Nigerian musicians and artists who create contemporary Afro-pop music by fusing songwriting and melodies to create auditory delight.
