Lifehouse is a Los Angeles, California-based American rock band consisting of Jason Wade (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals), and Steve Stout (lead guitar). The band rose to notoriety with the breakthrough track “Hanging by a Moment” off their debut studio album No Name Face in 2001. The song achieved number one on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart for three weeks and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 list. After spending 20 weeks in the top ten and more than a year on the charts, the record earned a Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 record of the Year.
Lifehouse has produced six additional albums after their debut, including Stanley Climbfall in 2002, the eponymous Lifehouse in 2005, Who We Are in 2007, Smoke and Mirrors in 2010, Almera in 2012, and Out of the Wasteland in 2015. These albums produced the songs “You and Me,” “First Time,” and “Whatever It Takes,” all of which charted in the top 40 in the United States.
