Portugal. The Man is a rock band from Wasilla, Alaska that is now headquartered in Portland, Oregon. John Baldwin Gourley, Zach Carothers, Kyle O’Quin, Jason Sechrist, Eric Howk, and Zoe Manville make up the band. Gourley and Carothers met and started playing music together at Wasilla High School in 2001.
The band released two albums on Fearless Records, three albums on their own label Approaching AIRballoons in collaboration with Equal Vision Records, and then signed with Atlantic Records in 2010, where they have published their most recent three full-length albums. Their 2017 track “Feel It Still” took home the Grammy Award for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.
