Frédérik Durand (born 4 May 1988), better known as SNAILS, is a Canadian DJ and music producer. According to Billboard, Durand’s musical style is “vomitstep,” with “guttural bass gurgles, crushing 808s, and synthesizers oscillated well past the point of absurdity.”
Durand’s career progressed, including collaborations with musicians like Flux Pavilion and Jack Ü, as well as frequent airplay from Skrillex and other renowned DJs. Snails released two songs in 2014, “Wild” and “Pump This,” as well as his first US concert appearances.
Durand appeared at EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Forest in 2015, and released the track “King Is Back.” Durand continues to release music on a variety of labels, including many albums on Skrillex’s Owsla imprint.
