Bob Rifo’s Italian electronic music project is called The Bloody Beetroots (also Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and SBCR, born Simone Cogo). The Bloody Beetroots were formed in late 2006 as a duet consisting of Bob Rifo and Tommy Tea, who left in 2012.
Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, the band’s leader, was born in 1977 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. He currently resides in Venice Beach, California. He is a musically educated musician who has earned a reputation for composing music in styles ranging from punk rock to 1980s new wave. His identity is virtually unknown. In fact, his only distinguishing public feature is the year “1977” tattooed on his chest, which is the year of his birth, which also happens to be the year punk-rock was created. Rifo, a music producer, DJ, and photographer, goes by the moniker The Bloody Beetroots.
