Rapper, singer, and record producer Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, better known by his stage name Future, comes from the Kirkwood district of Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010 and 2011, he released several popular mixtapes. He subsequently inked a significant record deal with rapper Rocko’s A1 recording and Epic Records. Future was able to use it to start his own record label, Freebandz. He issued his first studio album, Pluto, in 2012. Five hit singles from the album made the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2014, he released his second studio album, Honest, which was later re-released as Pluto 3D.
Atlanta, Georgia, is where Future was born. He graduated from Columbia High. The Dungeon Family gave him the name Future, and he continued to use it as his stage name. His first cousin, the Dungeon Family producer Rico Wade, encouraged him to hone his creative abilities and seek a career in music. Rapper Rocko later took Future under his wing and signed him to his A-1 Recordings label. He released many mixtapes, including 1000, Dirty Sprite, and True Story, beginning in 2010 and continuing into 2011. Tony Montana, his debut single, was a success. Additionally, he wrote the song “Racks” by YC and the joint album Free Bricks with Gucci Mane.
He entered into a major label agreement with Epic Records in 2011. Then he made his mixtape Streetz Callin available. He released a new mixtape in 2012 called Astronaut Status. Future was featured on the cover of Issue #77 of The FADER in December of 2011 and in the annual XXL Freshmen list in 2012. Later, on April 17, [18][19] he finally dropped his debut album, Pluto, which featured remixes of songs like “Magic” with T.I. and “Tony Montana” that had been slated for release in January. His debut single, “Magic,” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He has worked with many musicians, including Kelly Rowland, Diddy, Trae da Truth, Ludacris, and Rihanna.
Young Scooter, Slice9, Casino, Mexico Rann, and Maceo were among the artists on his Freebandz label who appeared on the compilation mixtape F.B.G.: The Movie, which he published in 2013. Due to its over 250,000 downloads on the well-known mixtape website DatPiff, it was given platinum certification. His second album, Honest, which included the smash song “Karate Chop” with Casino, was released later in 2013.
