AK1200 is the stage name of Florida-based artist David Minner, who works in the jungle and drum and bass genres.’ His first production attempt was a 1993 remix of a Suburban Base Records tune Someone by Flex and Fats. On pirate radio, alongside Swift, and on Format FM, accompanying DJ Zinc.

His debut album SHOOTTOKILL was co-produced by Moving Shadow’s Rob Playford. In the United States, AK1200 has been credited with increasing the popularity of jungle and D&B through his live performances and remixes, as well as by playing for free to promote the genre.

In 2000, he co-founded the Planet of the Drums tour alongside Dieselboy and DJ Dara.
