Victor James Santiago, Jr. (born September 6, 1977), best known by his stage name N.O.R.E. (or Noreaga), is a rapper and broadcaster from the United States. Santiago, who was born and raised in Queens, New York, rose to notoriety as one half of the East Coast hip hop combo Capone-N-Noreaga (C-N-N), together with fellow Queens rapper Capone. With the tracks “Superthug,” “Banned from T.V.” (with Big Pun, Nature, Cam’ron, Jadakiss, and Styles P), “Nothin’” (featuring Pharrell), and “Oye Mi Canto,” he would also achieve solo success.
Santiago has recorded music on labels such as Penalty, Roc-La-Familia, Def Jam, and Babygrande Records. Santiago collaborated with fellow American rapper Busta Rhymes’ Conglomerate label in June 2011, where he launched his 2013 album Student of the Game, distributed under E1 Music. Santiago also serves as the CEO of his own label imprint, Militainment Business.
