Sheppard is an Australian indie pop band that was founded in 2009. Bombs Away, their debut studio album, was released on July 11, 2014, and peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, earning gold certification from the Australian Recording Industry Association, while their second single, “Geronimo,” spent three weeks at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, earning platinum certification.

Sheppard was nominated for Best Independent Release for “Let Me Down Easy” at the 2013 ARIA Music Awards. They were nominated for Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Independent Release, Best Pop Release, Song of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Best Video at the 2014 event.

The 2020 AFL Grand Final featured Sheppard as the halftime entertainment. The band also played before the second game of the 2021 State of Origin Series.
