Manchester Orchestra is a 2004 Atlanta-based American indie rock band. Andy Hull, rhythm guitarist-singer-songwriter, Robert McDowell, bassist Andy Prince, and drummer Tim Very make up the band. Former drummer Jeremiah Edmond left the band in January 2010 to spend more time with his family and operate the band’s record company, Favorite Gentlemen. Jonathan Corley, the band’s original bassist, left the band in 2013. Chris Freeman, the band’s keyboardist/percussionist, announced his resignation in September 2016.
Manchester Orchestra has released seven studio albums and several extended plays, including I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child (2006), Mean Everything to Nothing (2009), Simple Math (2011), Cope (2014) (as well as an acoustic version, Hope), A Black Mile to the Surface (2017), The Million Masks of God (2021), and The Valley of Vision. (2023). They are signed to Favorite Gentlemen Recordings, an indie label distributed by Sony Music Entertainment and Loma Vista Recordings.
