Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, guitar), Reid Perry (bass guitar, background vocals), and Neil Perry make up the American band The Band Perry (mandolin, bouzouki, background vocals). They signed with Republic Nashville in August 2009, and their self-titled first album was released on October 12, 2010. “If I Die Young” from this album peaked at number one in the United States. Billboard Hot Country Songs and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts, as well as 6x multi-platinum certification. Pioneer, their second album, was released on April 2, 2013. It delivered more number-one singles in “Better Dig Two” and “Done”, plus the top 10 hits “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” and “Chainsaw”. In 2017, the band shifted to pop and began releasing music independently in 2018.
The band departed Interscope Records/Mercury Nashville in mid-2018 to release music independently. On September 21, the band published Coordinates, a five-song collection, through ARTRAT, their newly created creative house. All five songs were written and produced by the band, with Rick Rubin serving as executive producer.
