Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso make up the Swedish dance Mafia (SHM), a dance music supergroup from Sweden. The group officially formed in late 2008, was placed at number ten on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll 2011, and has been called “the faces of mainstream progressive house music”, while being credited for “setting the tone for the EDM boom of the early 2010s, more than any other act in modern dance music”. They were named number twelve on the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll in 2012. The group is well known for “Don’t You Worry Child,” their most popular tune to date.
The group confirmed their breakup on June 24, 2012. On March 24, 2013, they gave their farewell performance at Ultra Miami. Angello worked alone for the following five years, while Axwell and Ingrosso performed as the combo Axwell & Ingrosso. The quartet reunited for a surprise closing set during the 20th anniversary of Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida on March 25, 2018. The group’s debut studio album, Paradise Again, was released on April 15, 2022, by their new company, Republic.
