Born in Los Angeles on April 1, 1986, Brian Todd Collins is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer better known by his stage name Kid Ink. Following the release of an EP named Almost Home and his first significant studio album My Own Lane in 2014, he published his debut independent album Up & Away in 2012. The songs “Show Me” (with Chris Brown), “Iz U Down” (featuring Tyga), and “Main Chick” was produced from the latter. (featuring Chris Brown). His third studio album Full Speed, which came out on February 3, 2015, produced the songs “Body Language” (with Usher and Tinashe), “Hotel” (featuring Chris Brown), and “Be Real.” (featuring Dej Loaf).
With the supporting song “Promise,” Kid Ink dropped the unexpected commercial mixtape Summer in the Winter in December 2015. (featuring Fetty Wap). He released the mixtape RSS2 in 2016 as well as the EP 7 Series in 2017, which featured the lead track “F with U” (with Ty Dolla Sign). He released the EP Missed Calls in December 2018, which featured the song “YUSO.” (featuring Lil Wayne and Saweetie). He released Alive on April 9 of 2021, his first independent album in nine years.
