Faith Hill is a stage name for Audrey Faith McGraw (born Audrey Faith Perry; on September 21, 1967). She is among the best-selling country music performers of all time, with more than 40 million albums sold globally.
Take Me as I Am (1993) and It Matters to Me (1995), the first two albums by country singer Faith Hill, were huge hits that combined for three number-one positions on Billboard’s country charts. Then, with the release of her subsequent two albums, Faith (1998) and Breathe, she enjoyed mainstream and crossover success (1999). Breathe became one of the best-selling country albums of all time, driven by the enormous crossover success of the songs “Breathe” and “The Way You Love Me.” Faith gave birth to Faith’s first international hit, “This Kiss,” in early 1998. It sold a ton over the world and brought Hill three Grammy Awards.
Hill has received numerous honors including six American Music Awards, 15 Academy of Country Music Awards, five Grammy Awards, and more. Her Soul2Soul II Tour 2006 with Tim McGraw became the highest-grossing country tour of all time. In 2001, she was named one of the “30 Most Influential Women in America” by Ladies Home Journal. She was ranked as the 39th best musician overall and as the Adult Contemporary Artist of the Decade (2000s) by Billboard in 2009.
