An American rapper, singer, songwriter, and comedian by the name of Adam Theodore Calhoun. He has published a number of albums and is an active social media figure. His most popular record was a joint effort with Tom MacDonald called The Brave, which was released in 2022. He also released another album that year, titled Country Rap Tunes.
With country rap artist Hosier, Calhoun debuted his musical career. In 2017, they put out the song “Salute the Brave,” which peaked at No. 46 on Hot Country Songs. additionally, that year saw the debut of the album Made in America. In 2018, he stopped working with Hosier and launched a solo career, releasing AmerAcal. His second album, The Throne, was released later in the year. A song from the album “Racism” that used the N-word and made generalizations about white and black people garnered criticism. In a song he wrote with country rap artist Upchurch called “Back N Forth,” Calhoun bemoans guys who wear women’s clothing.
The third solo album by Calhoun, War, was released on July 18, 2019. With 3,200 copies sold, the album was the third-best-selling rap album and the second-best-selling country album of the week. Moreover, Calhoun has worked with a variety of other musicians, including Upchurch and Struggle Jennings on the albums Hooligan (issued in 2019) and Legend (released in 2020). Calhoun and Tom MacDonald produced the album “The Brave” in 2022. With 16,000 copies sold in the U.S. during the first week after release in March 2022, the album was the best-selling album.
