Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, better known by his stage name Ozuna, was born on March 13, 1992, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His parents, a Dominican father, and a Puerto Rican mother reared him there. Aura (2018) debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 chart and is one of his five studio albums to top the Billboard Top Hispanic Albums chart. Although he has worked with musicians from a variety of genres and his music draws influences from a wide range of genres, including pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall, bachata, merengue, dembow, and electronic, his musical style is usually described as Latin trap and reggaeton.
He has sold close to 15 million CDs since the start of his career, ranking him among the best-selling Latin American musicians of all time. On February 1, 2019, Ozuna had the most one billion views on YouTube of any musician. He has also received four Guinness World Records, two Latin Grammy Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards. He was listed as one of the 100 most influential persons in the world in 2019 by Time magazine. In the movie Que León, he had his on-screen debut. In the ninth installment of the Fast & Furious series, F9, he made an appearance.
