Born on December 18, 1975, Shawn Randolph Houser is a singer and songwriter who specializes in country music. In 2008, he was signed to Universal South Records, and his single “Everything Goes” reached the charts. The title tune from his debut album of the same name, which also featured his first top 5 success, “Boots On,” peaked at number 20 on the Billboard country singles chart, featured the song. He transferred to the Stoney Creek imprint of Broken Bow Records in 2012. In 2013, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “How Country Feels,” the songs from his third album, both peaked at number one.
The album’s subsequent singles included “Goodnight Kiss,” which peaked at number one on the Mediabase Country Chart and number two on the Country Airplay chart, and “Like a Cowboy,” which peaked at number three on the Country Airplay chart in March 2015 and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards.
The songs “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” by Trace Adkins, “Back That Thing Up” by Justin Moore, and “My Cowboy” by country pop singer Jessie James were co-written by Houser before he became a successful musician.
