Dardan Aliu, also known as Regard professionally, is a Kosovo-Albanian DJ and producer. He was born on July 23, 1993. Aliu, who was born and raised in Ferizaj, achieved international popularity in 2019 with his remix of the Jay Sean song “Ride It” from eight years earlier.

A house version of Jay Sean’s song “Ride It” was released by Respect. The cover gained notoriety after receiving 4.1 million TikTok views. “Ride It” by DJ Regard, who has a contract with the Ministry of Sound, was released in July 2019. The song received over a million Spotify streams in total and peaked at the top of the US Spotify Viral chart. At the end of August 2019, the song had received over 2.4 million streams in the US and had debuted at number 21 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. The song had a lot of airplay in the UK on Hits Radio, Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1, and the BBC Asian Network. In the end, it peaked at number one in Ireland, number two on the UK Singles Chart, and number three in Australia.
