American rock group Highly Suspect hails from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Rich and Ryan Meyer, twin brothers who play bass and sing backup, Johnny Stevens, who plays guitar and sings lead, and Matt Kofos make up the group (guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals). They began as a bar cover band before moving to Brooklyn, New York, where they worked with producer Joel Hamilton to release The Worst People EP.
Following the release of the group’s debut studio album, Mister Asylum, in 2015, Highly Suspect was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. Additionally nominated for Best Rock Song was the tune “Lydia.” The Boy Who Died Wolf, their second studio album, was released in 2016. The album included two singles: “My Name Is Human,” which peaked at number one on the Billboard US Mainstream Rock Songs chart, and “Little One,” which peaked at number two. The Midnight Demon Club, the band’s fourth studio album, was released in 2022 after the release of MCID, the third studio album by Highly Suspect.
