American singer-songwriter Elizabeth Catherine McAlpine, popularly known as Lizzy McAlpine, was born on September 21, 1999.
McAlpine has gained followers on Instagram and TikTok, and a number of newspapers have referred to her as a “TikTok star.” As of April 2021, her unreleased song “You Ruined the 1975,” which was posted in June 2020, had received over 8 million views on TikTok.
On April 8, 2022, McAlpine released her second studio album, Five Seconds Flat. The album peaked at number nine on the Alternative New Artist Albums chart and number 19 on the Top New Artist Albums chart, respectively, and debuted at number five on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart. The most streamed song from the album is “Ceilings,” which is one of the songs that has gone viral on TikTok.
