Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, was born on June 14, 2002. She was created in Benin’s Cotonou. Before opting to focus on her musical career seriously, Ayra Starr started a fashion career with Quove Model Management when she was 16 years old. She shared her first original song on her page in December 2019 after recreating a number of well-known songs on Instagram. She was noticed by music industry boss Don Jazzy as a result, and she subsequently signed with Mavin Records.
After the publication of her hit song “Rush” in 2022, Ayra Starr would receive widespread international recognition. The song made it to the top forty in a number of countries, including Switzerland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number 36.
Ayra made history by becoming the youngest African female artist to get 100 million views on a single YouTube video and the first to do so in less than five months with the help of the song. Also, she broke a record by becoming the only female artist from Nigeria to have a solo song chart on the official UK Singles Chart.
