Stephen Sanchez, an American singer-songwriter, was born on November 3, 2002. Sanchez, a Tennessee native who calls Nashville home, released What Was, Not Now in October 2021 as his first extended play. The single “Until I Found You” by Sanchez was released on September 1, 2021, and it reached its top position at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 16 on the UK Singles Chart.
In June 2020, Sanchez shared a cover of “Cigarette Daydreams” by Cage the Elephant on TikTok. He continued to post regularly, growing his popularity and gaining over 122.1K followers.
Singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker got in touch with Sanchez after hearing a clip of “Lady by the Sea” and offered to produce the finished song, which was released in July 2020 and led to Sanchez obtaining a record deal with Republic Records. In October 2021, Sanchez published his debut EP, What Was, Not Now, which he co-produced with Ian Fitchuk. Stephen Sanchez and Ashe collaborated on the song “Missing You,” which was released as a single on November 4, 2022.
